About us

Hello! Our names are Quinn and Matt and we live in the Portland Metro Area. We are outdoor lovers and have made an effort to instill that value into our son as well. Adventurous Life Initiative came about after many years of me (Quinn) leading as part of an outdoor, play-based education program. Over those years I have seen how much our son and the other children in the program have thrived while learning and exploring outside. The program helped foster a solid foundation in the early years that will continue on for many more years to come. It has also helped us and others develop community and re-connect with nature in an ever-changing, fast-paced world. With time we started to realize an untapped potential and Adventurous Life Initiative was born! The definition of adventurous is “willing to take risks or try out new methods, ideas or experiences” and the definition of initiative is “an introductory act or step.” Our hope is that Adventurous Life Initiative will provide children and their families, in the Portland Metro Area, with an opportunity to take those first steps into an adventurous lifestyle that goes beyond the great outdoors as they are provided opportunities to develop community, build skills, and learn together. We are starting this journey off with our P.A.W. Prints Program; an outdoor, play-based enrichment class held in Wilsonville, OR as those early life experiences are the start to building a solid foundation for the future. With time we hope to expand our programs and work to develop an educational enrichment program beyond just the great outdoors, but for now we are taking our own “first steps” into this amazing journey. We look forward to connecting with you, learning with you, and growing with you!
